According to the following extract from Article 73 of the Code of Ethics (commentary as amended in 2003)
"…When a doctor uses his/her experience , documents for the purpose of scientific publication or teaching, he/she must ensure that it is not possible to identify any of the individuals concerned. Otherwise, their consent must be obtained…"
Amy photographs that appear on the files of individual surgeons are the sole responsibility of the surgeon that entrusted them to MCEI after being informed by MCEI written consent must be secured from the individuals concerned.
Such written consent given by the persons shown by way of medical information on the various aesthetic surgical procedures, is mandatory and must be in the possession of the surgeon.
For reasons of confidentiality, MCEI cannot access medical data on patients and surgeons and cannot be held liable for photos that a surgeon has submitted to it. . To avoid any confusion concerning requests for amendments, MCEI cannot remove photos except at the request of a surgeon. Persons wishing to modify or delete their photos , should ask their surgeon to inform MCEI of this at the following address: contact@mcei.info, or by post mail to: MCEI - 52, cours Alsace et Lorraine 33000 Bordeaux. MCEI will then immediately contact the surgeon for confirmation of his/her request.
